Board Member – Commissioner, Human Resources, and Citizen Service Region of Waterloo
Jane Albright joined the Region of Waterloo in December 2014 as the Commissioner of Human Resources and Citizen Service. Jane is responsible for all aspects of HR Management for the Region, has oversight of the Service First Call Centre which is the call centre for Regional citizen inquiries. She also has responsibility for Emergency Management as well as Audit and the Office of Corporate Performance. Jane joined the Region after a 20+ year career in the Ontario Public Service where she served in various corporate roles such as Director of Finance, Director of Facilities Management, Information and Privacy as well as Human Resources in a variety of policy and operational ministries. Jane holds a Honours BA from the University of Western Ontario in English Language and Literature, a Masters in Public Administration from Queen’s University and a Post Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management from University of Toronto. She is currently pursuing her Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
Jane grew up in Guelph and was delighted to move back to Southwestern Ontario. She now lives in Waterloo with her husband and two children.
