Born in Havana, Cuba (1964), emigrated to Madrid, Spain (1972), moved to Kitchener (1974).
I have attended Forest Heights Collegiate Institute, Conestoga College and University of Waterloo.
In 1988, I started Gulfview Developments Inc., at its origins GDI carried out general contracting services for The Waterloo Region District School Board, property management services for The Region of Waterloo and Consulting services for various clients.
Over the last 10 years we have been mainly concentrated on development and providing Consulting services, mainly to J.L. Cortes Architect Corporation. We recently completed our own 49 unit residential complex in uptown Waterloo, “The Cortes on King”.
I have been a member of The Affordable Housing Task Force, The Catholic Parents in Education Board and most recently The Face Council with The WCDSB. I have over 30 years of practical experience in the Construction Industry and I bring a very realistic and upbeat attitude to all group endeavours, regardless of complexity or size, allowing our team to propose appropriate, efficient solutions.
